Salvation

Even though some people are reluctant to use the word “sin” these days, it is still very real. It is the self-destructive behavior that ruins people’s lives. But salvation, by its very definition, is deliverance from sin and its consequences.

Jesus said, "I came to give life, and to give it more abundantly." This is God's plan and greatest desire for you.

There is a Problem

The problem is, our sin (our self-destructive behavior) has separated us from God and His plan for our life. The Bible says, "all have sinned." Romans 3:23 and "your sins have separated you from your God" Isaiah 59:2 We cannot do anything about our sin which is at the root of all heartache.

God Has a Solution

But God provided the solution! It is to get rid of our sin by sending Jesus die on the cross as punishment for our sins. The Bible says, "God demonstrated His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 By the cross, Jesus provided forgiveness and healing, and the way to God and His wonderful plan for us.

Jesus Offers Salvation

Because Jesus died AND rose from the dead, He can now offer us this abundant life. But we must believe what God has said about our sin and His solution, and receive His gift of salvation which comes through Christ. The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth, `Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

If you would like to become a Christian and receive God's plan for your life, say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need Your forgiveness. I believe You rose from the dead to give me life abundantly. Come into my life to be my Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord Jesus. AMEN.
