Touching Hearts with Prayer

It can be called a Hospitality Station, a Quench Booth, a Prayer Booth or almost any name. It doesn’t matter as long as you are prepared to offer prayer for those willing to let you pray with them in an evangelistic prayer kiosk set in a public place to offer prayer to interested passerbys.

Consider this story: Many times, as a waitress was taking the lunch order for Missionary Dr. Leighton Jones, he would ask her about her day. Almost always, there was a problem she was dealing with. Leighton would ask if he could pray for her. I've never heard anyone turn down his offer of prayer. At the conclusion of the prayer, the waitress was visible moved with a new appreciation of God's love.

Everyone you encounter comes with emotional pain and a bruised spirit. People deal with these injuries in different ways... some deny it, others cover it up, some engage in self-help. But for some, this may be a window of opportunity where that soul is hungry for God and open to ministry.

In a spiritual journey, a person will experience times when they are more open to God and the message of the Gospel.  Certain life-events will open these windows of opportunity, such as: marriage, divorce, a new baby, a new job, health issues, family problems, and more. As a result of your prayer, their soul will hunger and their spirit will thirst for the Lord. This would open the door to sharing the Gospel.
