Just as we can chose to follow Jesus, some also chose to walk away from the faith. That’s what we call backsliding. But backsliding comes in different forms. Choose the most appropriate suggested passage to call the backslider to repentance and back to God:

“Repentance is making a spiritual U-turn and going back to God and living in fellowship and obedience to Him.”

Matthew 3:7-8 NIV But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.

Note: Focus on verse 8, “Produce fruit in keeping with repentance.” In other words, repentance involves living differently, in obedience to God’s will.

“Are you ready to come back to God and give your life to Jesus as your Lord? If so, you know what to do to call on the Lord. Make an altar right here, and spend some time seeking God. He will be found by you.”
